Air filter is a device composed of fibrous materials which removes solid particulates such as dust, pollen, mould and bacteria from the air. Air filters are used in applications where air quality is important, notably in earthmoving and marine engines. The air intakes of internal combustion engines and air compressors tend to use either paper, foam or cotton filters. Air is necessary for successful combustion in your engine. Air filter acts as a barrier between the airborne contaminants and the engine allowing only clean air to enter the engine. Air filters enhance the performance of your engine which extends its useful life by delivering only clean air. Sometimes, air filters which may look clean visibly may not be suitable for your engine or their life has come to an end. It is very difficult to determine the status of the air filter just by looking at it. We strongly recommend to replace air filters rather than cleaning of air filter elements. Replacing air filters will increase the life of the engine to a great extent.
